Good afternoon all!
I hope your weekend isn't quite as soggy as ours 'oop 'ere in't north'!!! (that's for all my southern friends!)
It certainly has put quite a bit of rain down today but that's no concern of mine as I'm showered, dressed and in the craft room ready to play!
Had a good night out last night too! And, no hangover today (yet, anyway). Had a few cocktails or 6 with our bessies Pat and Joy as it was their wedding anniversary and Joys birthday too. Also met a couple of new peeps, Kerry and John, who are neighbours to Pat n Joy and we all had a spiffing good time!
Over the last couple of days, I've been reading through a fab blogsite called Scrap Around The World.
Love it! The blog owner(s) are very passionate about their scrapbooking, as are the members, so I've joined in the hope that, as a newbie, I can learn lots of tips about scrapbooking in general and about art and design.
I decided to enter their August challenge (here is the mood board for inspiration)
with a page I've made for Kristin and Dales wedding scrapbook.
One of the photos shows them at a baby grand piano, so I've incorporated a little musical reference into the page! Also , the textures and fabrics on this mood board inspired me to use a little fabric on the page and some haberdashery items too! The gorgeous gown, top left image, is the reason for my choosing this photo as my daughters dress drapes across the floor in the same way.The colours here were easy to emulate in the page as this wedding photo is ideal for the soft shades of white, blues and browns. All in all, for my first attempt at their challenge, I think it was a fair job but, if you pop over to their blogsite, you'll find absolutely stunning entries by other members. I aim to be that good!
Anyhoo, no more schmoozing, here's the page :
